Homeschool Christmas Craft Projects That Are Easy and Fun

On a recent trip to Dollar Tree, I took some time to look closely at all the Christmas ornaments and craft supplies they had displayed. There were all kinds of adorable little snowmen ornaments, and mitten ornaments, as well as angels adorned in glitter, and fun Christmas pompom’s. They had mini Christmas Trees wrapped in garland, and Santa figurines, and so much more. I started to get excited about decorating the house for Christmas. I then I started to think about Christmas crafts.

I had been trying to think of some simple projects T and I could do for our art classes. I was hoping to come up with something Christmasy we could use in our homeschool room and make together. As I made my way around the store I came across the picture frame section and I knew exactly what we could do!

I grabbed two 8 x 10 frames and a 5 x 7 frame, a few bags of the pompoms, a snowflake ornament, a reindeer ornament, and a few rolls of ribbon. The best part of shopping at the Dollar Tree is that everything is a dollar, so these crafts would be fun and affordable.

When I got home I printed off a few of my Christmas Printables and then we got to work.

Doctor Suess Frame

For The Dr. Suess Frame You Will Need:

  • One or two bags of the Christmas Pom Pom’s
  • A 5 x 7 Frame from the Dollar Tree
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Dr. Suess Printable Quote
  • Scissors

We printed out the Dr. Suess Christmas Quote. Then, using the cardboard from inside the frame, We traced the edges and trimmed it to make sure we had a perfect fit.

Then, we began gluing on the pompoms. We started by placing the larger pom poms around the edges and then filled the frame in with the smaller ones.

Just like that and we had this adorable frame done!
